How to change the appearance of Norman?

I have been looking for aways to change the existing geometry of Norman or similar rigs. I found this tutorial online. I am sharing it with all of you. I persionally have not yet tried it, but intend to try it very soon. Shall post my responses once I ma done.

    Well…
    I did get a chance to try the technique out. IT WORKS!!!

    I am currently working on a project that should be comlete by february2010. I am suing the MooM character in it. I wanted to change his appearance and give him some clothes to suit the characters role. I followed the steps given in link 1 and it worked perfectly.
